Hardware
Both the Competition and
Floor Marshal Modules of DanceScore Version 4 do not
require any special hardware. They will run on any PC or Mac
that is capable of running Microsoft Access. The DanceScore
software itself cares little about the configuration of your
PC provided it can access printers attached to your computer
or network.
The Windows based Adjudicator
Tablets also do not require any special hardware but we do
recommend a configuration when using the wireless capture
devices on a
network. This is because the domestic 'off the shelf'
wireless routers that you buy from the local computer shop
are insufficient when it comes to securely connecting
multiple wireless devices.
In our recommended
network configuration we also use a small UNIX server,
(about the size of portable hard drive), to maintain
multiple network connections and for easy deployment of any
Software updates.
